LPG has conventionally been tapped as an energy source. Usage of LPG cylinders, in fixed volumes and pressure ratings, are used worldwide for energy utilisation in different circles.
Methane hydrates have vast amounts of energy trapped as methane in ice crystals, which can be tapped to replace current burden on fossil fuels. However, hydrate decomposition due to de-pressurisation leads to problems in tapping this source. We propose, applying the concept of pressurising methane hydrates in cylinders.
